Prof. Dr. Algün POLAT EKİNCİ
Çukurova Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun oldum. Bir süre pratisyen hekim olarak çalıştım.
İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Deri ve Zührevi Anabilim Dalı’nda Dermatoloji uzmanlığımı 2003-2009 yılları arasında yaptım. Mecburi hizmet sonrası 2012’de uzman olarak İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Deri ve Zührevi Anabilim Dalı’na başladım. Beş yıllık çalışma, eğitim ve araştırmalar sonrasında 2017 yılında girdiğim doçentlik sınavında başarılı olarak Doçent ünvanı almaya hak kazandım. Doçent olarak atandığım İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Deri ve Zührevi Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı Öğretim Üyeliği ve Zührevi Bilim Dalı Başkanlığı görevlerim yanı sıra araştırmalarımı yürüttüm. Mart 2024 tarihinde aynı bölüme Profesör olarak atandım.
İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Deri ve Zührevi Anabilim Dalı’ndaki çalışma hayatım boyunca Psoriasis (sedef hastalığı) polikliniği, Alopesi (saç dökülmesi) polikliniği, Hidradenitis süpürativa (köpek memesi hastalığı) polikliniği ve Akne skar (sivilce izi) tedavisi, Akne ve Rozase (gül hastalığı) hastalıkları polikliniklerinin sorumlu öğretim üyeliğini yürüttüm. Ayrıca nevüs (ben) takibi, kozmetik polikliniği, büllü hastalıklar, Behçet Hastalığı, yara takip ve tedavisi polikliniklerinde aktif olarak çalıştım.
Çocuk sağlığı hekimleri için açılan “Ergen sağlığı doktora programı” nın oluşturulması ve sürdürülmesinde dermatolojiden sorumlu öğretim üyesi olarak yer aldım, eğitimlerinde ve tez çalışmasında sorumluluk aldım. Dermatoloji alanında etki değeri yüksek çok sayıda klinik çalışmaya ve endüstri destekli faz çalışmalarına sorumlu veya yardımcı araştırmacı olarak katıldım. Tıp öğrencilerine ve Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi öğrencilerine lisans dersleri verdim. Dermatoloji bölümü araştırma görevlilerinin eğitiminde ve uzmanlık tezlerinde sorumlu danışman öğretim üyeliği yaptım. Uluslararası ve Ulusal çok sayıda kongreye konuşmacı olarak katıldım.
